MECCHA CHAMELEON

MECCHA CHAMELEON is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game with a creative camouflage twist. Hiders begin with plain white bodies and must paint themselves to match the environment, choose convincing hiding spots, and strike poses that blend into the scenery. Seekers then search the stage and try to find every disguised player before time runs out.

• Hide and Seek – Hiders camouflage themselves around the map while Seekers attempt to find everyone before the timer expires.
• Normal Mode – Play the standard format with separate Hider and Seeker teams competing until the round timer ends.
• Increasing Oni – Players who are discovered join the Seeker side, causing the hunting team to grow as the round continues.
• Double Mode – Teams alternate between hiding and seeking, giving players a chance to experience both roles.

As a Hider, your goal is to disappear into the environment before the Seekers begin searching.

A good disguise combines three important things:

• Location – Find a spot where your character can naturally blend into the surrounding scenery.
• Paint – Match your body's colors to the wall, floor, furniture, or other objects around you.
• Pose – Change your character's shape so your silhouette does not immediately reveal that you are a player.

Simply choosing the correct color is not always enough. A perfectly painted character can still be easy to spot if their shape looks out of place.

Painting is the main mechanic that separates MECCHA CHAMELEON from traditional hide-and-seek games.

Hiders can:

• Open the painting interface
• Choose different colors
• Sample colors directly from nearby surfaces
• Paint different areas of their body
• Adjust their disguise to match nearby scenery
• Combine multiple colors for more complicated hiding spots
• Repaint themselves before committing to a location

The environment becomes your camouflage. A wall, floor pattern, piece of furniture, or shadow can become a hiding place if your paint and positioning are convincing enough.

After painting your character, choose a pose that helps break up the recognizable shape of your body.

Effective hiding involves:

• Matching the direction of nearby objects
• Keeping arms and legs from standing out
• Using corners and environmental shapes
• Staying still once Seekers arrive
• Thinking about how the hiding spot looks from different angles
• Choosing a pose that fits naturally into the scene

Movement can quickly reveal a disguised player, so knowing when to stop adjusting your position is an important part of hiding.

Seekers have the opposite challenge: figure out which parts of the environment are actually disguised players.

While searching, look for:

• Colors that do not perfectly match
• Unusual silhouettes
• Objects that appear out of place
• Suspicious shapes along walls and floors
• Small movements
• Strange positioning
• Areas that look slightly different from the surrounding scenery

Seekers win by discovering all of the Hiders before the timer reaches zero.

MECCHA CHAMELEON is designed around multiplayer party matches. You can join other players or create a room for your own group.
