Balatro

Balatro is a poker-themed roguelike deckbuilding game where players play illegal poker hands to trigger scoring multipliers and defeat escalating blind targets. Clear a series of Antes by accumulating enough chips through strategic hand selection, modifier cards, and powerful joker abilities. Break the rules of traditional poker by combining unique jokers and tarot cards to achieve astronomical scores.

Each run is divided into Antes, with each Ante consisting of three blinds: a Small Blind, a Big Blind, and a Boss Blind. Players select cards from a standard deck to form recognized poker hands such as pairs, full houses, and flushes. Defeating blinds earns cash used in the shop to acquire new items, while surviving all Antes completes a standard run.

• Small and Big Blinds – Standard scoring challenges required to advance through the Ante.
• Boss Blinds – Special rounds that impose unique restrictions or debuffs on specific suits or hands.

Jokers provide game-changing passive bonuses that multiply chips or add flat values based on conditions like suit types, played hand frequencies, or card ranks. Consumable items like tarot cards change card suits or enhance cards into foils, holos, or polychromes, while planet cards permanently level up specific poker hand payouts.

Keyboard & Mouse:

• Left click — Select or deselect cards, booster packs, and interface buttons
• Hold Left click — Drag and rearrange cards in your hand
• Right click — Deselect all currently highlighted cards
• R — Restart the current run using the same stake and seed
