• Adventure Run – Begin at the entrance and travel as deep into the caves as possible while collecting treasure and surviving each randomly generated level.
• Treasure Hunting – Search every corner for gold, gems, idols, crates, and valuable hidden areas.
• Secret Route – Collect special artifacts and uncover hidden locations that lead beyond the normal path.
• High-Score Runs – Take greater risks, gather valuable treasure, and try to finish with a higher total score.
• Speed Runs – Focus on movement and fast decision-making to reach later areas as quickly as possible.

Spelunky Classic HD contains four main areas that become progressively more difficult:

• Cave – The starting area, filled with rocky tunnels, spiders, bats, snakes, traps, and hidden treasure.
• Lush – A jungle-like region featuring vines, dangerous plants, water, and more aggressive enemies.
• Ice – A slippery, open area filled with icy platforms, large drops, and unusual enemies.
• Temple – The final main region, packed with tougher traps and enemies before the last encounter.

There are also secret locations such as the Black Market and City of Gold for players who discover the right items and routes.

Use the equipment you find throughout each run to survive and explore farther.
