Backrooms is a first-person survival horror game where you explore endless yellow rooms, listen for clues, avoid strange enemies, and search for the way out before time runs out. Move carefully through the maze, stay alert, and use sound, sight, and quick reactions to escape the Backrooms.

• Classic Mode – Search for the finish object by listening carefully for its sound. Headphones are recommended because sound direction is important.
• Deaf Mode – Find the correct path without relying fully on audio. Wrong paths create warning effects, while the correct route helps lead you toward escape.
• Free Mode – Explore the Backrooms freely with no enemies, timer, or objective. This mode is useful for learning the environment or just walking around.
• Difficulty Modes – Choose from Easy, Medium, Hard, or BACKROOMS, with harder settings giving you less room for mistakes.

Your goal is to find the escape point before the timer runs out. In Classic Mode, listen for the special finish-object sound and move toward it while avoiding enemy encounters.

In Deaf Mode, focus on choosing the correct path and watching for warning changes when you go the wrong way. Move carefully, pay attention to your surroundings, and keep searching until you find the exit.

Backrooms includes mysterious enemies known as “friends.” They may appear in front of you, behind you in certain modes, or be hinted at through sound.

To survive, you need to react quickly. Looking at an enemy for a short moment can make it disappear, but staring too long can end your run. Stay calm, look away at the right time, and keep moving toward the escape route.

Backrooms rewards patience, awareness, and careful movement. Rushing through the maze can make it harder to notice important clues, while moving too slowly can waste valuable time.
